As Bendel Insurance prepare to face Niger Tornadoes in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 4, Technical Adviser Greg Ikhenoba has reaffirmed the team’s commitment to securing their first victory of the season.
The Benin Arsenals are yet to record a win this campaign, with their opening three matches producing two draws and a defeat. They began the season with a 0-2 away loss to El-Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri, followed by a 1-1 home draw against rivals Shooting Stars SC, and another 1-1 stalemate away to Barau FC in Kano.
Ahead of their second home game at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Ikhenoba emphasized the importance of taking maximum points.
“We need to get our first win. We haven’t played badly, but the missing link is converting our efforts into victories. Every member of the team understands the importance of this match on Saturday,” he said.
On the other hand, Niger Tornadoes — also known as the Ikon Allah Boys — have enjoyed a stronger start, collecting two wins from their opening three matches. They defeated Nasarawa United 1-0 on Matchday 1, lost narrowly to Enyimba International FC, before returning home to edge Bayelsa United 1-0.
Head-to-Head Record:
