The Nigeria National League (NNL) will hold its 2026 Annual General Meeting on Friday, Aug. 21, at Rockview Hotel, near Government House, Owerri, Imo State.
According to a statement by the NNL board, participants are expected to arrive in Owerri on Thursday, Aug. 20, ahead of the meeting scheduled for Friday, while departure is slated for Saturday.
The meeting is expected to attract the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, NNL club chairmen and other key football administrators.
The Executive Governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, is expected to declare the meeting open.
The AGM is expected to focus on key issues concerning the league, including the proposed date for the commencement of the 2026/2027 season.
Participants will also review the activities of the just-concluded season and deliberate on measures to improve the organisation and development of the NNL.
The meeting is expected to provide an opportunity for club owners and league administrators to assess the progress of the second-tier competition and chart a new direction for the coming season.
