The NFF Referees Development Committee has mandated the immediate stepping down of two officials from the Nigeria National League.
This decision follows match outcomes and misconduct exhibited during a Matchday 3 involving Ikorodu City and FC ONE Rocket.
The affected referees are Centre Referee Ajibola Kassem from Ogun State and Assistant Referee 1 Akinade Saburi from Oyo State. The notification, effective immediately until further notice, aims to address these issues.
Recalling a similar move in late November, the Committee had previously stepped down four referees from matches on MatchDay 1 and 2.
The Chief Operating Officer of the League, Dr. Ayo Abdulrahaman, emphasized the ongoing commitment to monitor league matches closely, ensuring officiating aligns with the laws of the game. The League remains proactive in maintaining the integrity of the competition.
