The Nigeria National League (NNL) has voiced its concern over disruptive incidents that occurred during the December 21, 2025, match between Gombe United FC and Jigawa Golden Stars at Pantami Stadium in Gombe.
Danlami Alanana, Chief Operating Officer of the NNL, described the reports from the encounter as deeply troubling, labeling the behavior witnessed at the stadium as unacceptable and in violation of the league’s standards and regulations.
Alanana emphasized that the league would conduct a comprehensive investigation into the match and all associated incidents. He further stated that the NNL is prepared to take decisive action in accordance with its disciplinary procedures to address any wrongdoing.
Reiterating its commitment to safety, professionalism, and fair play, the NNL warned that any actions undermining the integrity of the competition would not be tolerated, underscoring the league’s zero-tolerance stance on misconduct.
