NLO directs clubs to review amended 2025 Rules ahead of season

The Nationwide League One (NLO) Secretariat has issued a formal notice to all State Football Associations and affiliated clubs, emphasizing strict adherence to the amended 2025 league rules and regulations.

In a memo dated April 7, 2026, and signed by Chief Operating Officer Dr. Olushola Ogunnowo, the Secretariat highlighted key provisions under Articles 3.01 (6), (7), (8), and (14), urging clubs to carefully review them to avoid future disputes or claims of oversight.

The NLO confirmed that all clubs have access to the updated rulebook, including copies available on its official website.

Additionally, the secretariat is awaiting outcomes from meetings between clubs and State FAs regarding match venues and club affiliation confirmations.

Clubs are strongly advised to stay informed and compliant as preparations continue for the upcoming NLO season.

This directive underscores the league's commitment to maintaining a transparent and well-structured competitive environment for all participating teams. By prioritizing compliance and open communication with State FAs, the NLO aims to ensure a seamless transition into the new campaign. All stakeholders are expected to finalize their administrative requirements promptly to uphold the integrity of the nation's third-tier football league.
