In light of escalating security challenges—including terrorism, banditry, mass kidnappings, and farmer-herder conflicts—the Nationwide League One (NLO) Executive Board has decided to conduct its Annual General Meeting (AGM) virtually.
Originally scheduled for December 12 in Abuja, the AGM was set to be attended by delegates sanctioned by the State Football Associations, including the FCT. Given the current security situation, the NLO Secretariat has communicated this change to all affiliated clubs within the league.
In an official statement, the NLO clarified that, due to serious security concerns, the AGM will now take place virtually on the same date. This decision ensures the safety and well-being of all participants while allowing vital discussions and decision-making to proceed uninterrupted. The league will provide all designated congress members with the necessary details and access links for the meeting.
As Africa’s largest grassroots football regulatory body, NLO appreciates the understanding and cooperation of its affiliates in navigating these pressing challenges.
