NLO 2026: City Royal FC Seek Redemption as Top Contenders Clash in Jos

Action continues at the Jos Centre of the 2026 Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) as teams return to the New Jos Stadium for another round of competitive fixtures, with early group standings beginning to take shape.

After a tightly contested opening Matchday, attention now shifts to crucial encounters that could significantly influence qualification hopes in both groups.

City Royal FC will be hoping to secure their first points of the season when they face Jos Dream Big FC in Group B action. City Royal suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mighty Jets Feeders in their opening game and will be determined to respond positively.

Their opponents, however, arrive in confident mood after earning a 1-1 draw against Global Peace FC, setting up what is expected to be a closely contested encounter.

The standout fixture of the day will see two early pace-setters, Plateau United U-19 and Ben Akwuegbu FC, face off in Group A. Both sides impressed in their opening matches and will be aiming to maintain their strong start to the campaign in this highly anticipated “Star Match.”

Elsewhere in Group A, Atarah FC have already made an early statement with a hard-fought 1-0 win over debutants 234 Avenue FC, joining the group of early leaders on three points.
