Nigerian duo return to Crystal Palace after EFL loans

Posted : 15 May 2025

Bradford City, recently promoted to EFL League One, has published its list of players retained and released following the conclusion of the 2024–2025 season. The club confirmed that several loan players will be returning to their parent teams, including Nigerian defender Tayo Adaramola from Crystal Palace.

Adaramola, 21, who represents the Republic of Ireland at the U21 level, is among five players who will leave Bradford to rejoin their original clubs. His loan spell at Bradford was part of a busy season after beginning the year with Stockport County.

Since arriving at Bradford during the winter transfer window, Adaramola made a positive impact by providing three assists across 16 appearances. His performances were instrumental in Bradford City’s successful push for promotion to League One.

At Crystal Palace, Adaramola has attracted attention, having been called up to the senior squad on ten occasions and appearing twice in competitive Premier League matches. His time at Bradford allowed him to gain valuable playing experience at a competitive level.

Another player returning to Crystal Palace is forward Asher Agbinone, who spent the latter half of the season on loan at FC Gillingham. The 19-year-old made six appearances in League Two during his loan period.

Agbinone also featured in the Premier League this season, making his debut for Palace in October against Nottingham Forest and playing again in November against Fulham. His development continues as he prepares to return to Selhurst Park.

The return of both Adaramola and Agbinone signals the conclusion of their loan spells. They will now rejoin Crystal Palace to begin preparations for the upcoming preseason campaign.
