Nigerian Defender Chigbata Patrick Joins Cádiz CF on Long-Term Deal from Klassisch Academy

Nigerian youth prospect Chigbata Patrick has officially finalized his transfer to Spanish side Cádiz CF. The promising left-back arrives from the Lagos-based Klassisch Football Academy; he has committed to a long-term contract that keeps him with the "Yellow Submarine" until 2028. This move represents a significant step forward for the young defender as he begins his professional journey in European football.

Patrick is set to begin his tenure in Spain with the Cádiz Juvenil A (U-19) squad. This team competes in the División de Honor Juvenil, which is the highest level of youth football in the country. The league is renowned for developing elite talents; it provides a direct pathway for players to transition into the senior professional ranks within La Liga.

The defender expressed immense pride during his official unveiling at the club’s facilities. He noted that joining a historic club like Cádiz is a dream come true for any young Nigerian player. Klassisch Football Academy has recently emerged as a vital pipeline for Nigerian talent moving to Europe.
