Nigeria's representative, Beyond Limits, wins European Invitational Football tourney in Italy

Great and promising young players from the Remo Stars' stable, the U-19 Beyond Limits Academy, lived up to their name by achieving the rare feat of winning the Italian-dominated Viareggio Cup.


Since its inception in Italy 75 years ago, foreign clubs have won the tournament only six times, with Beyond Limits Academy being the latest to achieve this milestone.


Beyond Limits Academy has once again demonstrated their prowess. They secured the championship title by defeating C.N Brazzaville U-19 with a commanding 2-0 victory.


This historic win marks the first time a Nigerian team has claimed the Viareggio Cup since its inception in 1949. What makes their victory even more remarkable is that they achieved this feat without conceding a single defeat throughout the entire tournament.


In fact, they won all seven matches they played, scoring a total of 24 goals while only conceding three. This is an incredible display of skill and dominance on the field.


The Remo Stars SC Academy, from Ikenne-Remo, has truly showcased its talent and potential on the international stage.


Their exceptional performance in the tournament is a testament to their hard work and dedication.
