“We have lined up a schedule of exciting events to ensure the 11th edition of the awards is a historic success,” Philips stated.
Philips further revealed that voting by sports editors from all 36 states of the federation will begin on Monday, November 25, and conclude on Sunday, January 5.
He added that the collation of votes will be conducted by **SIAO Partners**, Nigeria’s leading indigenous accounting and auditing firm, which has served as the awards’ independent vote-collation body for the past decade.
The nominees will be announced during a press conference scheduled for January 12, 2025, in Lagos.
“The 11th awards ceremony will be preceded by a conference featuring an impressive lineup of guests and speakers from around the world," Philips noted.
The conference, themed *"A Viable Football Ecosystem as a Catalyst for Economic Prosperity in Nigeria,"* aims to foster discussions on how football can be strategically managed to drive economic growth for Nigeria and its citizens.
**Lenders Consult International**, a firm renowned for supporting the growth of Nigerian football, will play a key role in the event. Notably, the company organized the first-ever FIFA/NFF Players’ Agents Workshop in Lagos in May 2011, which was attended by over 100 football agents from Nigeria and abroad, with top FIFA representatives present.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the event. Other dignitaries anticipated include Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State; Mr. Amaju Pinnick, a member of the FIFA Executive Committee; Alhaji Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission; alongside football managers, sports journalists, and prominent football stars from the global football community.
Philips expressed gratitude to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), sports editors, and journalists across the country for their unwavering support of the Nigeria Pitch Awards since its inception in 2012. He also reiterated the organizers' commitment to the continuous development of football and sports in general.
Endorsed by the NFF in 2012, the Nigeria Pitch Awards is set to hold its 11th Awards Ceremony in March 2025.
