2025/2026 NPFL Match Day 9 Preview: Ikon Allah Boys Face Tough Challenge Ahead of Peace Boys’ Visit
The Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes of Minna, Majin Mohammed, has expressed optimism about his team’s chances of securing all three points ahead of their 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 9 clash against Plateau United FC of Jos.
Mohammed believes his side has what it takes to overcome the visiting Plateau United in what promises to be an exciting North Central derby on Sunday.
The Ikon Allah Boys return to the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna for their home fixture after a hard-fought 1–1 draw away to Warri Wolves in their Match Day 8 encounter.
Acknowledging the challenge posed by the Peace Boys, Coach Mohammed emphasized his team’s determination and readiness to rise to the occasion.
He said, “We’re aware of the difficulties, but we’re prepared. We know Plateau United will come with the mentality of getting a result. However, we’re ready for them.”
“Plateau United may be struggling on the log, but that doesn’t mean they’re not a good team. In fact, teams at the bottom can be harder to play against, so we’ll approach the game with the same intensity as if we were playing the champions,” he added.
The coach also assured fans that his players are motivated and focused on securing a positive result to maintain their momentum in the league.
