The Chairman of Nasarawa United FC, Solomon Babanjah, has officially unveiled the team’s new kits for the ongoing 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Babanjah, accompanied by Board Member and the club’s Director of Media and Communications, Eche Amos, explained that the new kits were designed by China-based Elite King Sportswear Company to represent the team’s vibrant spirit and unique identity.
He emphasized that the unveiling was also a gesture of appreciation to the State’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Isaac Danladi, for his unwavering support and contributions to the club’s progress and success.
In his remarks, Danladi commended the management, players, and officials of Nasarawa United for their impressive performance this season, which he said has brought pride and recognition to the state.
“Let me appreciate you and your management for taking the time to present these beautiful sets of jerseys to me,” Danladi said. “I am truly honoured by this gesture and will not take it for granted. The team’s current performance shows that we left a strong legacy, and I am proud of what you’ve achieved.”
He also praised the Governor of Nasarawa State for providing continuous financial and moral support to the club, and extended his appreciation to the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development for his consistent presence and encouragement.
Danladi particularly lauded the players for their determination and teamwork, which have placed Nasarawa United at the top of the NPFL standings. “The team has taken a bold step by leading the league, and by God’s grace, we shall end the season as champions,” he added.
While congratulating the team on their success so far, Danladi urged them to remain focused and consistent throughout the season to maintain their position at the summit.
In recognition of their efforts, the Attorney General presented the team with a ₦500,000 cash gift, to be shared among the management, players, and officials. He praised their discipline and teamwork, describing them as the driving forces behind their early-season success.
Danladi has a long history with Nasarawa United, having served in various capacities — including as Secretary and later Chairman — for more than twelve years before his current appointment as Commissioner for Justice by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
Nasarawa United FC currently sit atop the 2025/2026 NPFL table with 19 points from nine matches, reinforcing their ambitions for a title-winning campaign.
