The Technical Adviser of Nasarawa United FC, Mangut Mbwas, has been presented with a brand-new 2025 Toyota Hilux as his official vehicle by the Nasarawa State Government.
The keys were handed over during a brief ceremony at the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in Lafia. The SSG, Labaran Magaji (SAN), presented the keys to the Club Chairman, Solomon Babanjah, who then handed them to Coach Mangut Mbwas.
According to Labaran Magaji, the gesture is Governor Abdullahi Sule’s meaningful demonstration of support for sports initiatives, aimed at alleviating transportation challenges faced by the coach and enabling him to focus fully on leading the Solid Miners to further successes.
Chairman Solomon Babanjah, accompanied by the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Kwanta Yakubu, expressed gratitude to Governor Sule and the Nasarawa State Government for consistently prioritizing the welfare of the team and its members. He noted that the gift would further motivate the squad and boost performance in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Babanjah also commended Commissioner Kwanta Yakubu for his unwavering support in helping the team achieve success.
The presentation ceremony was attended by key officials, including Helen Ken Madaki, Director of Administration and Supplies of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development; Hamza Moyi, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports Affairs; and members of the State Football Association Board, led by Chairman Salisu Usman Galadima.
Nasarawa United currently sits atop the NPFL table with 30 points from sixteen matches. The Solid Miners will travel to neighbouring Plateau State to face Plateau United in their Match Day 17 fixture this coming weekend.
