Nasarawa Amazons played out a 1–1 draw with Delta Queens in a Matchday 10 encounter of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership in Asaba.
The match lived up to expectations, with both sides displaying intensity and determination throughout the encounter.
Nasarawa Amazons started the game brightly and nearly took an early lead in the 6th minute when Okah’s effort struck the crossbar, denying the visitors the opener.
Despite the pressure from the Lafia-based side, the home team found the breakthrough in first-half stoppage time as Delta Queens capitalized on an attack from the left wing to score and head into the break with a 1–0 advantage.
The visitors returned for the second half with renewed determination and were rewarded shortly after the restart. In the 49th minute, midfielder Omosuyi Ayowunmi scored the equalizer for Nasarawa Amazons following sustained attacking pressure to bring the scoreline to 1–1.
Both teams pushed for a winner in the closing stages, but neither side could find the decisive goal as the game ended in a share of the spoils.
Speaking after the match, Amazons head coach Christopher Danjuma said every point remains crucial in the race for a Super Six place, noting that the team is gradually becoming more cohesive as the season progresses.
Nasarawa Amazons will return home for their next fixture, where they are scheduled to host Dannaz Ladies on Matchday 11 of the NWFL Premiership.
