Nasarawa Amazons FC continued their impressive run in the 2025/2026 NWFL Premiership with a comfortable 2–0 victory over Osun Babes FC of Oshogbo in Matchday 6 at the Lafia City Stadium, Lafia.
The Lafia Landladies, currently second in Group B, remain unbeaten in the campaign, delivering another commanding performance against their visitors. Moses Farkikyen opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, giving the hosts an early advantage and setting the tone for the match.
The Amazons doubled their lead when Omosuyi Ayowunmi curled in a superb free kick from distance, leaving the Osun Babes goalkeeper with no chance. Despite attempts from both sides, the first half ended 2–0 in favour of Nasarawa Amazons.
After the break, Osun Babes pressed for a comeback, but Nasarawa Amazons calmly controlled the tempo, absorbed pressure, and maintained their dominance. Tactical substitutions added fresh energy, though no further goals were scored.
Goalkeeper Okoye Chioma was outstanding for the home side, making key saves to preserve a clean sheet. The result reinforces Nasarawa Amazons’ strong title push as they continue their unbeaten march in the NWFL Premiership.
Next, Nasarawa Amazons will travel to Iyamu for Matchday 7 to face Confluence Queens of Kogi.
