Moyi Hassan wins MOTM as Nasarawa Utd scoop maximum points against NAF FC

Defensive midfielder Moyi Hassan was voted the Man-of-the-Match for his stellar performance in Nasarawa United's 1-0 victory over a highly determined North Central side, NAF FC, in the 2023/24 Nigeria National League Group C Match-Day 7 game held at the Lafia City Stadium.


The prodigy caused a lot of trouble for the opponents with his defense-splitting passes and goal-scoring efforts while also making the territory tight for the visitors.


Moyi's persistence paid off when one of his deadly passes struck the trailing arm of NAF FC defender Adeyemi Akintoye, leaving the referee with no option but to point to the spot for a penalty.


Legendary goal poacher Adamu Hassan stepped up to convert the resultant penalty, giving United the lead in the 80th minute.


The goal was enough to earn the Solid Miners the maximum points, taking them to the 2nd position on the Group C ladder with 13 points, just a point behind table-topping El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri, who edged EFCC 1-0 in their fixture.


United will wrap up the first stanza of the league with a long trip to Ilorin, Kwara State, to face another North Central opponent, ABS, on Saturday, 20th January 2024, at the Ilorin Township Stadium.
