Millwall Reject Massive £20m Ipswich Town Transfer Bid For Super Eagles Star Femi Azeez

Posted : 28 May 2026

Millwall have rejected an initial twenty million pound bid from Ipswich Town for Nigerian forward Femi Azeez. The newly promoted Premier League side made their opening move following the striker's exceptional performances in domestic and international competitions. The twenty-four-year-old attacker remains under contract with the London club until June 2028.

Azeez enjoyed a spectacular breakout season in the Sky Bet Championship. He scored eleven goals and provided seven assists in thirty-seven appearances to earn a spot in the Championship Team of the Season. His stellar club form helped the Lions reach the promotion playoff semi-finals before bowing out against Hull City.

The exciting forward further raised his profile on Tuesday night during his international debut for Nigeria. Azeez scored two clinical goals to propel the Super Eagles to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe in London. This brilliant display at The Valley secured the national team a place in the invitational Unity Cup final.

Millwall club executives are determined to hold out for a significantly higher transfer fee this summer. Reports indicate they value their prized asset closer to thirty million pounds due to his age, form, and long-term contract. Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna remains eager to secure proven attacking reinforcements to boost his top-flight survival hopes.

The Tractor Boys will face fierce competition if they decide to return with an improved financial package. Top-flight sides Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, and Brentford are also monitoring the player's situation closely. Azeez is rapidly becoming one of the most sought-after Nigerian talents ahead of a busy summer market.
