Mighty Jets International FC has thrown its weight behind Plateau United ahead of their crucial encounter with Kano Pillars FC, urging football fans across Plateau State to fill the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.
Ferdinand Mbum, the General Manager of Mighty Jets, called on supporters to rally behind the Jos-based Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, describing the fixture as an opportunity to defend local pride and strengthen the spirit of football on the Plateau.
In a goodwill message, Mbum stressed that Plateau United would not stand alone, noting that Mighty Jets, as a sister club, remained firmly behind the team.
He urged supporters, fan clubs and football enthusiasts to turn out in large numbers, wear their club colours and create an atmosphere capable of inspiring the hosts to victory.
“Kano Pillars are a great side, but Jos is our home and our fortress. I urge all supporters, fan clubs and lovers of beautiful football to come out in large numbers, wear your colours, sing loudly and cheer our boys to victory. When Jos roars, Plateau United definitely delivers,” he said.
The encounter is expected to attract considerable attention as the two northern rivals meet at the New Jos Stadium, with both sides seeking to assert their dominance.
Mbum’s call underscores the importance of home support as Plateau United prepare for the demanding fixture against the Kano-based club.
