Manchester United Make Firm Decision to Keep Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United have made it clear that Bruno Fernandes is not for sale and intend to reject any approaches for their captain before the transfer window closes. The stance comes despite interest from Galatasaray, Juventus and AC Milan, with no formal bid having been received so far.

Galatasaray are reportedly considering a proposal that could reach €50 million (£42.7 million), but senior figures at Old Trafford believe the Turkish club would be wasting its time pursuing the Portugal international. United's position represents a significant change from last summer, when Fernandes was allowed to decide whether to accept a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.

Fernandes, 31, has entered the final year of his current contract, although United hold an option to extend the agreement for another season. A £57 million release clause has expired, while talks over a new long-term deal have yet to result in an agreement.

The midfielder is understood to prefer remaining at Old Trafford, while United are equally determined to retain one of the most influential players in their squad. His importance was reinforced by the reception he received from supporters during the club's recent pre-season fixture against Leeds in Dublin.

Fernandes enjoyed an outstanding individual campaign last season, setting a new Premier League record with 21 assists. He is also among the leading contenders for the 2025-26 PFA Player of the Year award, further strengthening United's desire to keep him at the club.
