Manchester United are preparing contingency plans in case their move for Brentford's Bryan Mbuemo falls through, with Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth and Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze emerging as potential targets.
The Red Devils are keen to reinforce their attacking options this summer and are exploring multiple avenues to ensure they land a versatile and effective forward. Mbuemo, 25, has attracted significant attention, but should talks collapse, Semenyo and Eze are being seriously considered.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are still actively pursuing Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP. The Gunners are set to submit another bid for the prolific forward, who remains a top priority for manager Mikel Arteta. Although Atletico Madrid have also entered the race, Gyokeres has reportedly ruled out any interest in joining Manchester United, leaving Arsenal in a favourable position to secure his signature.
Tottenham Hotspur are close to completing a permanent deal for French forward Mathys Tel, who joined them on loan from Bayern Munich in January. The 20-year-old impressed during his brief stint, making 20 appearances and scoring three goals, and is expected to sign a six-year contract with the North London club once the loan officially ends on 30 June. Spurs managed to negotiate the final transfer fee down to £30 million from the original £45 million buy clause.
Elsewhere across Europe, transfer activities are heating up. AC Milan have opened talks with Valencia over a move for Javi Guerra, while Inter Milan are willing to entertain offers for Hakan Calhanoglu, with Galatasaray showing interest.
Southampton are considering a bid for US striker Damion Downs from Cologne, and Bayer Leverkusen are eyeing Bournemouth’s Justin Kluivert as a replacement for Florian Wirtz, recently sold to Liverpool.
