LSFA intervenes in Lagos-based Tradesafe FC decision to quit NNL

The Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association, Hajji Gafar Liameed, has launched an intervention scheme aimed at stopping Lagos-based Tradesafe FC from abandoning its current campaign in the Nigeria National League (NNL) due to financial constraints.


The newly elected Lagos Football Association (LSFA), who spoke on behalf of the Lagos FA, quickly advised the chairman and management team of Tradesafe FC on the need to imbibe integrity, particularly taking into account the rules and regulations of the league body regarding the severe consequences of abrupt withdrawal from the NNL.


Hajji Liameed, while acknowledging the severity of the economic challenges affecting the nation's life, advised the team's management to strengthen adherence to financial regulations and to enhance the team's youth development programs.


The LSFA boss encouraged the chairman of Tradesafe FC and its board of directors to come together financially to salvage the club's current situation and, of course, uphold the integrity of Tradesafe FC.


Speaking on the latest development, the team manager of Tradesafe, John Hamilton, expressed his appreciation to the leadership of the Lagos FA for its support and encouragement.


"I want to commend the present board of the LSFA led by Hajji Gafar Liameed for its leadership and mentorship. I believe that with the level of synergy and commitment of the LSFA board towards the development of football in Lagos State, the game in Lagos will reach greater heights.


Regarding the current situation affecting the team, he added: "We are not in a favorable position in the NLL league. However, we can bounce back stronger because football is all about winning or losing," he added.
