The Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) has officially announced that the Lagos State League (LSL) Super 4 tournament for the 2024/2025 season will take place from July 15 to July 18, 2025. The highly anticipated grassroots football event will be staged at the Legacy Pitch, located inside the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The four-day tournament will feature the top two teams from each of the Mainland and Atlantic Conferences of the recently concluded LSL season. Representing the Mainland Conference in the Men’s State League are Ighalo FA and Arubinjaga FA, while Young Strikers and Bucknor FC will compete from the Atlantic Conference.
In the Women’s State League, Victory Queens FA and Aisha Yusuf FA qualified from the Mainland Conference, while CATS Ladies and FC Phoenix emerged from the Atlantic Conference.
The tournament promises an exciting climax to a thrilling grassroots football season in Lagos, with the best of local talent on display. LSFA CEO, Wale Joseph, urged all participating teams to maintain discipline and adhere strictly to competition rules.
“We expect a high standard of football and professionalism. Any form of misconduct will not be tolerated. I wish all the teams the best of luck, and may the best team emerge champions,” Joseph stated.

The All Stars Veterans Invitational Tournament (ASV) continues to deliver intense matchups and surprise results as Gwagwalada All Stars, Ex-Professionals, and USF secured spots in the Round of 16, joining Karu All Stars, Apo Fitness All Stars, All Stars International, and Nurudeen FC in the knockout stage.
Week Five of the competition began with a shock as City Gate Sports Club claimed their first victory, stunning the previously unbeaten Gwagwalada All Stars 2-1 with goals from Emeka Ejima and Emeka Nwaogara, while Shagari Baba scored the consolation for Gwagwalada.
USF booked their place in the next round with a 2-0 win over Corporate Kickers Sports Club, courtesy of goals by Chigozie Anyigbo and Bright Esomuno.
Games Village FC kept their hopes alive with a dominant 3-0 win over struggling Vera Gold All Stars, while Ex-Professionals maintained their impressive form with a commanding 4-0 victory over Capital Sportiff Sports Club.
In a dramatic encounter, Zee Michael All Stars came from behind to defeat University of Abuja All Stars 2-1, and Likeminds All Stars edged McSteve FC 3-2 in a five-goal thriller.
As the group stage nears its conclusion, teams like Games Village FC, Karu All Stars, and Likeminds are closely watching results to determine their place in the knockout rounds. The final group matches promise more excitement and fierce competition.
