Lobi Stars Football Club have returned to training following the mid-season break of the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League, with renewed ambition to reclaim a place in the Nigeria Premier Football League. The club has made it clear that promotion remains the sole objective as the league enters a decisive phase.
Addressing the players and technical crew at the resumption, club chairman Simon Terver Ikya charged the squad to approach the remaining fixtures with renewed intensity, discipline and sacrifice. He stressed that the margin for error has narrowed, with every match now crucial to the club’s promotion hopes.
Ikya emphasized that the mission of returning to the top flight has not changed, warning that complacency could derail their ambition. He urged the team to maintain focus and consistency as competition intensifies across the league.
The chairman also highlighted the importance of unity, calling on players and officials to remain closely knit both on and off the pitch. According to him, only a strong collective spirit will carry the team through the pressure moments that lie ahead.
Training sessions reflected the club’s renewed drive, with newly signed players integrating smoothly alongside earlier additions and established members of the squad. The blend of fresh faces and experienced players has added competition and belief within the camp.
Speaking on behalf of the team, Barnabas Imenger Jnr., Akile Monday and Abdulazeez Tijani assured management and fans of their full commitment, pledging maximum effort in the push for promotion.
