Lobi Stars' new boy, Victor Ekioke, promises better days ahead

Lobi Stars' new signing, Victor John Ekioke, has stated that he will make every effort to contribute to Lobi Stars emerging as the winners of the 2023/24 Nigeria Professional Football League season.


The former Warri Wolves defensive midfielder, who was named "Man of the Match" against Katsina United in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day fixture, noted that he hopes to replicate a better performance if he features when Lobi travels to face Abia Warriors on Sunday.


"It beat my imagination at the start of my debut season in the Nigeria Professional League to perform this way. I never saw it coming to be voted 'Man of the Match' against a big club like Katsina United in just my second game."


The Delta state-born player, who scored a goal and provided an assist in Match Day 23 of the NPFL, thanked his coaches and teammates for giving him the courage and opportunity to play on the big stage, where he was also highly rated against Sunshine Stars.


Lobi Stars currently lead the NPFL table after 23 games with 42 points, closely followed by Plateau United with 41 points.
