Lobi Stars Football Club, in preparation for the resumption of the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) Match Day 8, have traveled by air to the historic City of the Caliphate, Sokoto, to honour the opening fixture of the second stanza.
The pivotal air travel arrangement, according to the team, was made possible through the deliberate efforts of the Club Chairman, Simon Terver Ikya, whose foremost priority remains the club’s return to the elite league.
The management said that Ikya's proactive leadership reflects a clear resolve to provide the team with the best possible conditions as they navigate the decisive phase of the campaign.
“This development illustrates the premium the Simon Terver Ikya-led management places on the remaining matches of the second stanza, the welfare of the team, and the seriousness with which every point is being pursued.
“The players, evidently delighted by the gesture, have pledged to reward this confidence with dedication, discipline, and spirited performances on the field of play.
“Indeed, as the Pride of Benue soars through the skies, so too does their determination to reclaim their rightful place among Nigeria’s football elite.”
