2025/2026 NNL Season: Lobi Stars Head Coach Reinforces Philosophy Ahead of New Campaign

Lobi Stars head coach Abubakar Bala has emphasised the importance of his core football philosophy in driving the team’s success, reminding players that a clear and well-defined plan serves as a guiding principle for achieving their goals.

 

He made this known during a closed lecture session with the players at McCarthy Stadium, Makurdi.

 

Coach Bala highlighted the significance of teamwork, explaining that every unit on the pitch — defence, midfield, and attack — plays a vital role in achieving collective success.

 

He also discussed tactical approaches such as high pressing and mid pressing, aiming to make Lobi Stars one of the most balanced teams — strong in attack, midfield, and defence — by the end of the season.

 

Chief Coach Benedict Atule also encouraged the players to stay focused on the challenges ahead, assuring them that the technical crew will continue working closely to provide the best possible training and support.

 

Team captain Solomon Kwambe expressed appreciation for the professionalism and guidance of the technical crew, pledging to maintain discipline and uphold the team’s work ethics.

 

Following the lecture, the team held a lively training session, where players practised various drills and fine-tuned their skills in preparation for the new season.
