Liverpool secures 2-0 FA Cup victory over Arsenal with late goals

In a captivating FA Cup third-round clash, Liverpool secured a 2-0 victory against Arsenal, with an own goal by Jakub Kiwior and a late strike by Luis Diaz sealing their place in the fourth round draw. Despite a flurry of early chances for Arsenal in the first half, Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold's free-kick found its way into the net after glancing off Kiwior's head in the 80th minute. Luis Diaz added to Arsenal's woes with a powerful goal in stoppage time.


Arsenal, unable to capitalize on their early opportunities, saw Liverpool improve in the second half, with their traveling fans witnessing a turnaround in fortunes. Captain Martin Odegaard came closest for Arsenal in the first half, rattling the crossbar with a powerful drive. Arsenal's struggles continued, as they suffered their third consecutive loss in all competitions. Despite their early chances, Arsenal was unable to punish Liverpool's lackluster performance, and Liverpool's late goals secured their progress in the FA Cup.
