Liverpool Eye Scott as Chelsea Target Stones and Al Hilal Seal Summerville Deal

The summer transfer market continues to gather pace, with Liverpool, Chelsea and Al Hilal all linked to significant moves involving Premier League talent.

Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey has urged the Reds to consider a move for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott after the England Under-21 international reportedly rejected a new contract at the Vitality Stadium. Heskey believes Scott offers exceptional value compared to several other young midfielders currently attracting interest across Europe.

Speaking in an interview with 10bet, Heskey praised Scott's technical ability and development under Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola. He suggested Liverpool would benefit from signing a player who has already flourished under Iraola's coaching, should the Spanish manager ever become part of Liverpool's long-term plans.

Heskey also argued that Scott's transfer fee could be considerably lower than those of other emerging midfielders despite possessing similar quality. The 22-year-old remains one of Bournemouth's most highly rated players, and his contract situation is expected to attract attention from several Premier League clubs in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have added former Manchester City defender John Stones to their shortlist as they continue their search for defensive reinforcements. The England international became a free agent on July 1 after his contract with Manchester City expired, making him an attractive option for clubs seeking an experienced central defender.

Chelsea are aiming to strengthen their back line before the new season and are also monitoring Como defender Jacobo Ramon. In addition, negotiations remain active with Crystal Palace over France international Maxence Lacroix, with Palace chairman Steve Parish leading discussions on behalf of the club.

Stones' experience at both domestic and international level could provide valuable leadership to Chelsea's relatively young squad if the Blues decide to pursue the move.

Elsewhere, Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal have reached an agreement with West Ham United to sign winger Crysencio Summerville in a deal worth around £68 million. The Netherlands international is expected to undergo a medical before completing a long-term contract.

Summerville enjoyed an impressive campaign, scoring five Premier League goals and enhancing his reputation with strong performances at the FIFA World Cup. He contributed two goals and two assists before the Netherlands were eliminated by Morocco in the round of 32 after a penalty shootout.

Roma made several attempts to sign the 24-year-old during the transfer window, while Manchester United also explored the conditions of a possible deal. However, Al Hilal have now moved ahead of their rivals and appear set to complete one of the biggest transfers involving a Premier League winger this summer.
