Kwara United sets July 5 resumption as preparations begin for 2026/27 NPFL season

Kwara United Football Club has announced Sunday, July 5, 2026, as the official resumption date for players and members of the backroom technical crew ahead of preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The Harmony Boys will commence full training on Monday, July 6, marking the beginning of the club's build-up to the new league campaign.

The announcement was contained in a statement by the club's Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, who described the resumption as the official start of activities for the forthcoming season.

According to the statement, all retained players, alongside selected players identified by the club's technical crew during the previous campaign, are expected to report as scheduled to begin pre-season preparations.

Titiloye reiterated the club's determination to put together a competitive squad capable of achieving its objectives in the new season, assuring supporters and stakeholders that the management remains committed to operating professionally and in accordance with the rules and ethics of the game.

He also revealed that additional invited players, whose names will be announced at a later date, are experienced professionals expected to strengthen the squad as Kwara United intensifies preparations for the 2026/27 NPFL season.

The announced timeline underscores the club's proactive approach to securing early stability before competitive matches resume. By combining the core of the retained roster with targeted veteran signings, the technical crew aims to establish a cohesive and tactically sound group.
