Players and officials of Kwara United, one of Nigeria's representatives at the 2025 CAF Confederation Cup, have continued to intensify their preparations for Saturday’s first-leg clash against Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in Accra.
Solidarity messages have been pouring in for the Harmony Boys from fans, supporters, and well-wishers nationwide. Among them is Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq CON, the club’s number one supporter and financier, whose backing has long been a source of inspiration for the Ilorin-based side, Nigeria’s reigning Federation Cup champions.
The governor’s goodwill message was delivered by the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bolakale Magaji, during a visit to the team at the Kwara Football Academy. He commended the players for their discipline, teamwork, and spirit of togetherness, which he described as the foundation of the club’s recent progress.
Magaji urged the team to uphold the values of Kwara State as worthy ambassadors, assuring them of the governor’s continued support. In response, Coach Tunde Sanni, speaking on behalf of the team, expressed gratitude for the encouragement and pledged the squad’s commitment to making the state proud on the continental stage.
