Kwara United Queens Beat Surprise FA U-15 in Pre-Season Friendly

Kwara United Queens continued their preparations for the new football season with an impressive 4-2 victory over Surprise Football Academy U-15 in a friendly match played at the KFA Pitch, George Innih Stadium, Ilorin.

The pre-season fixture gave the technical crew another opportunity to assess the team's tactical approach, fitness levels, and overall squad depth as preparations gather pace for the upcoming competitions.

The Courageous Queens opened the scoring in the 28th minute through Rachel Oladunni. The forward finished calmly after collecting a well-weighted pass from Tony Gift to give the hosts a deserved 1-0 lead heading into the halftime break.

The second half saw the coaching staff introduce several substitutions, and the changes quickly transformed the contest. The fresh players added energy and attacking quality, helping Kwara United Queens take control of the game.

Amarachi Nnorom doubled the advantage in the 53rd minute after confidently converting a penalty. She completed her brace shortly after the hour mark, finishing off a well-worked move created by Tolu Omoniyi to put the hosts firmly in command.

Soliu Mistura added the fourth goal with another composed finish, capping an impressive attacking performance from the Ilorin-based side. Although Surprise FA U-15 managed to score twice, Kwara United Queens maintained control and comfortably secured a 4-2 victory.

The match offered several encouraging signs for the coaching staff, particularly the team's attacking movement, cohesion, and the positive impact made by the substitutes. The performance also highlighted healthy competition for places as players continue to battle for starting positions ahead of the new season.

With preparations entering an important stage, the technical crew will continue refining tactics and improving match fitness before competitive action begins. The latest victory provides further confidence as the squad builds momentum for the challenges ahead.

Kwara United Queens are scheduled to resume training on Friday at 7:00 a.m. as the team continues its build-up to the new campaign with the aim of maintaining its strong pre-season form.
