Kwara United Football Club has issued an apology to its loyal supporters, fans, and stakeholders following their early exit from the CAF Confederation Cup. The Harmony Boys crashed out in the preliminary round after a 5-3 aggregate defeat to Ghana’s Asante Kotoko.
Needing a victory to progress, Kwara United fell short when Hubert Gyalu struck in the 53rd minute of the return leg to seal the Porcupine Warriors’ win.
Club chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, described the elimination as both painful and regrettable. He appealed to fans for forgiveness while promising a stronger comeback.
“We apologize to our loyal fans and supporters for this unfortunate result. It was never our plan to crash out at this early stage,” Titiloye said. “We are determined to bounce back, make amends in the league, and give our supporters something to cheer about.”
