Paris Saint-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has revealed that the team are already shifting their focus to their Champions League final clash with Arsenal after overcoming Bayern Munich in a dramatic semi-final.
PSG secured their place in the final following a hard-fought 1-1 draw in the second leg in Munich, which sealed a narrow 6-5 aggregate victory. The result sets up a high-profile meeting with Premier League leaders Arsenal in Budapest on 30 May.
Kvaratskhelia admitted that Bayern represented the toughest challenge of PSG’s season so far, describing the German champions as one of the strongest sides in Europe. He expressed pride in the team’s achievement and confidence in their ability to compete at the highest level.
The Georgian winger played a key role in PSG’s success, providing the assist for Ousmane Dembélé’s early goal in Munich. Dembélé struck inside three minutes, finishing a precise pass from Kvaratskhelia to give PSG control of the tie early on.
After taking the lead, PSG managed the game intelligently, balancing attacking threat with defensive discipline. Despite Bayern pushing hard throughout the match, the French side held firm under pressure.
Harry Kane eventually scored in stoppage time, marking his 55th goal of the season, but it came too late to alter the outcome as PSG advanced to another Champions League final.
Head coach Luis Enrique praised his squad’s resilience and mentality, highlighting their ability to compete against elite opposition. He described the tie as highly intense and acknowledged the quality of both teams, noting their shared commitment to high pressing and attacking football.
PSG’s progression marks a second consecutive Champions League final appearance, reinforcing their status among Europe’s elite as they now prepare for a decisive showdown with Arsenal.
