​Krosaders FC show grit to outlast Dreams FA, set up Bayelsa United final clash

​Krosaders FC delivered a composed and resilient performance to defeat Dreams Football Academy 4–2 at the Samson Siasia Stadium, securing a place in their third consecutive Bayelsa State FA Cup final.

​The encounter looked firmly in Krosaders’ control early on, as Ensure Gift struck twice in the first half to hand Coach Genesis Suomokumo’s side a comfortable 2–0 lead heading into the break.

​However, Dreams Football Academy responded sharply after halftime, scoring twice in quick succession to restore parity and briefly swing momentum in their favour. Just as the game threatened to slip away, Krosaders regained their composure and asserted their quality when it mattered most.

​A decisive penalty from Kelvin Amadi in the 75th minute restored their advantage, before Junior Christopher sealed the victory deep into stoppage time with a clinical finish to make it 4–2.

​The win sets up a highly anticipated final showdown against Bayelsa United, who edged Citiboi FC 6–5 on penalties after a 1–1 draw in the other semi-final.

​Krosaders’ high pressing and disciplined approach proved too much for Dreams Football Academy over the course of the game, a tactical plan that paid off according to head coach Genesis Suomokumo.

​“We stayed patient and trusted our approach,” he said. “The players showed great unity and belief, especially after conceding those two quick goals. They deserve full credit for the response.”

​With momentum and experience on their side, Krosaders now turn their focus to Sunday’s final, where they will aim to complete their impressive run with silverware.
