2025/2026 NPFL: Kennedy Boboye Takes Charge as Bendel Insurance FC Coach

Kennedy Boboye has arrived in Benin City to begin his role as Bendel Insurance FC’s new Technical Manager.

The newly appointed Technical Manager of Bendel Insurance FC, Kennedy Boboye, has arrived in Benin City ahead of his official unveiling and the commencement of his new role with the club.

Upon his arrival, Coach Boboye was warmly received by the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Amadin Desmond Enabulele, alongside top officials of the Commission and the club’s General Manager, Charles Ihimekpen.

He was immediately taken on a guided tour of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, led by Chairman Enabulele and other senior officials of Bendel Insurance. The tour covered major facilities including the main bowl, training pitches, dressing rooms, media centre, gym, and recovery centre.

The tour marked the beginning of a new chapter for the experienced tactician, who recently signed a two-year contract with the Benin Arsenals. Boboye’s official unveiling is scheduled to take place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in the coming days.

Speaking after the tour, Enabulele expressed confidence in Boboye’s ability to transform the team and guide them to greater heights in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

“We welcome Coach Kennedy Boboye to Benin. The government of Edo State, under the leadership of Governor Monday Okpebholo, is fully committed to supporting the team,” said Enabulele.

In his remarks, Coach Boboye described the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium as “top-notch” and a familiar ground, praising the state government for its continued investment in sports infrastructure. He pledged to work closely with all stakeholders to deliver results that would make Edo people proud.

Earlier, the management of Bendel Insurance FC had officially announced Boboye’s appointment as Technical Manager, following a mutual agreement for him to assume full responsibility for the club’s technical operations with immediate effect.
