Katsina United FC recorded a deserved 2–0 win over struggling Kun Khalifat FC on Match Day 20 of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The fixture was held at the team’s adopted home, Sani Abacha Stadium in Kofar Mata, Kano.
Both goals for the home side were scored by Jamilu Yusuf Onga, taking his season tally to four goals. The victory lifts Katsina United to ninth place on the league table with 29 points, continuing their push up the standings.
The match was attended by Katsina State Sports Commissioner Eng. Surajo Yazid Abukur, alongside Katsina United Chairman Alh. Surajo Malunfashi, Alh. Aminu Wali, and FA Secretary Kabir Falalu, who were on hand to support the team. Fans and supporters also turned out in large numbers to cheer the Katsina-based side to victory.
Katsina United will next travel to face Warri Wolves of Delta State as they aim to maintain their winning form in the ongoing NPFL season.
