Katsina United Reinforce Defence with Signing of Goalkeeper Oladipo

Katsina United have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season with the acquisition of experienced goalkeeper Kola Oladipo from Bayelsa United.

The former Nigeria U-20 international completed his move to the Chanji Boys after both clubs concluded transfer negotiations, adding depth and experience to the club's goalkeeping department.

Oladipo, who was part of the Flying Eagles under former coach Ladan Bosso, has built a solid reputation in the NPFL, having previously featured for Bendel Insurance, El-Kanemi Warriors, Kwara United and Bayelsa United.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper is renowned for his commanding presence, quick reflexes and organisational abilities, qualities Katsina United hope will improve a defence that conceded 42 goals last season—one of the poorest records in the league.

His arrival forms part of the club's efforts to reinforce key areas of the squad as preparations intensify for the new campaign.

Katsina United will be aiming for a much-improved performance after a difficult previous season, with the club targeting a stronger finish when the 2026/2027 NPFL season gets underway later this month.

The addition of Oladipo is expected to strengthen the Chanji Boys' defensive unit as the club looks to compete more effectively and achieve its objectives in the upcoming NPFL season.
