Katsina United FC Book NPFL Super 6 Semi-Final Spot

Katsina United FC booked their place in the semi-finals of the NPFL Invitational Super Six, Jos 2026, after edging Mighty Jets International FC 1–0 in a tightly contested encounter on Friday.

The Chanji Boys secured the crucial victory through Abdulkadir Dali, whose 36th-minute strike proved enough to settle the contest and send Katsina United into the last four.

Dali's well-timed effort gave the Katsina-based side a narrow lead before the break, rewarding their purposeful approach in a first half in which they combined attacking ambition with defensive discipline.

Mighty Jets returned from the interval determined to level matters and mounted pressure on the Katsina United defence. However, the Chanji Boys remained organised and refused to surrender their advantage.

With the game entering its closing stages, Katsina United's defensive resilience became decisive as they successfully frustrated their opponents and protected their slender lead until the final whistle.

The hard-earned victory not only earned Katsina United a semi-final ticket but also provided another valuable test as the club fine-tunes preparations for the 2026/2027 NPFL season.
