Kareem Tunde Labels Sevilla Clash a Final as Levante Fight for La Liga Survival

Levante winger Kareem Tunde has issued a stern warning to Sevilla ahead of their high-stakes La Liga encounter this Thursday. The 20-year-old attacker described the match as a decisive final in the ongoing battle to avoid relegation to the second division. Both clubs are currently fighting for survival with only a few matches remaining in the 2025/2026 Spanish season.

Sevilla currently occupy 16th place in the standings with 34 points following a turbulent campaign. Levante find themselves in a more precarious position, sitting 19th with 29 points and trailing safety by five points. A victory for the hosts at the Estadi Ciutat de València would dramatically close the gap and keep their survival hopes alive.

Kareem Tunde has enjoyed a breakout season since making his senior debut in December after graduating from the youth ranks. The Spanish-born winger, who spent time at Barcelona’s La Masia academy, has become a regular under coach Luís Castro. He credited the support of the home fans for turning their stadium into a difficult venue for visiting teams.

Sevilla will rely heavily on Nigerian striker Akor Adams to provide the offensive spark needed to secure their safety. Adams has been a bright spot in a difficult season for the Andalusian side, netting eight goals in 26 league appearances. His physical presence in the box is expected to be the primary threat against a Levante defense that has struggled for consistency.

Levante enter the fixture with momentum following a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Getafe in their previous outing. They also boast the psychological advantage of having defeated Sevilla 3-0 in their earlier meeting this season. Tunde believes that maintaining unity within the squad will be the key to repeating that success and escaping the bottom three.

Sevilla have recently undergone managerial changes and faced significant pressure from their supporters due to poor results. A loss on Thursday would drag them back into the immediate danger zone and heighten fears of a historic relegation. The clash represents a direct confrontation between two Nigerian talents with contrasting roles but the same mission of top-flight security.
