Kano Pillars launches major restructuring, opens applications for key club positions

Kano Pillars Football Club has commenced a sweeping restructuring programme aimed at repositioning the club for greater professionalism, efficiency, and long-term success ahead of the new football season.

The decision was approved by the club's management under the leadership of General Manager Ahmed Musa, MON, OON, following a management meeting.

According to the club, the exercise forms part of efforts to align its operations with modern football management standards while strengthening accountability across all departments.

As part of the reforms, all existing committees established by the club have been dissolved, with management confirming that new operational structures and committees will be constituted to meet the club's evolving objectives.

The restructuring also extends to the club's youth development system, with technical and support positions in the Junior Pillars and U-19 teams becoming vacant. Roles affected include head coaches, assistant coaches, goalkeeper coaches, team managers, kit managers, nurses, masseurs, curators, and media officers.

Similarly, several support positions within the first team have been opened for fresh recruitment. The vacancies include team manager, club doctor, nurse, cameraman, photographer, content creator, kit manager, curator, and masseur/masseuse.

In a move aimed at promoting transparency and merit-based appointments, Kano Pillars has invited qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the available positions.

The club clarified that applications for the first team are restricted to the listed support staff roles, adding that former occupants of the affected positions are free to reapply if they meet the necessary requirements.

Interested candidates are expected to submit their curriculum vitae and relevant credentials to the Kano Pillars FC Secretariat located at No. 74 Hotoro GRA, beside Hadiza Bulangu Restaurant, Kano State, within one week of the announcement.

The four-time Nigerian champions stated that the restructuring exercise underscores their commitment to building a stronger institutional framework capable of sustaining sporting excellence and maintaining Kano Pillars' status as one of Nigeria's leading football clubs.

This strategic overhaul marks a pivotal turning point for the club as it transitions toward a more modernized administrative model. By opening up essential positions to qualified candidates, the Ahmed Musa-led management ensures that meritocracy will drive the club's operational future. Ultimately, these institutional changes will prepare the four-time champions to meet the demanding standards of contemporary football governance.
