League title-chasing Nasarawa United FC is set for another challenging outing as they travel to face a vintage Kano Pillars side in NPFL Matchday 19 of the 2025/2026 season.
For Kano Pillars FC, returning to their home turf will be an added advantage after being sanctioned by the league for crowd trouble during Matchday 8. The club had been temporarily banished to the Mohammed Dikko Stadium in Katsina, where they managed just three wins.
Kano Pillars expressed gratitude to the supporters in Katsina, stating in a letter on Tuesday: “As we prepare to return to our base at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, ahead of our next home fixture, we leave Katsina with deep gratitude, fond memories, and renewed respect for the football family in the state.”
The Sai Masu Gida will now enjoy the support of their home fans as they face a determined Nasarawa United team, who sit second on the NPFL table with 32 points after missing a chance to top the standings against Barau FC in Lafia. Kano Pillars, rooted at the bottom of the table with 16 points from 18 matches, will rely on home support to reverse their fortunes.
