Kano Pillars FC Receives Three Buses as Gift from Kano State Government

Posted : 24 October 2025
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has donated three brand-new buses to Kano Pillars FC to support the team’s logistics.

The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has presented three brand-new buses to the state’s pride, Kano Pillars FC, to ease the team’s transportation challenges during the ongoing 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The vehicles include a 29-seater luxurious Marcopolo bus for the players, a Hummer bus, and a Sharon.

While handing over the keys and documents of the new vehicles on behalf of the Governor, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ibrahim Umar Farouk, urged Kano’s sports-loving youths to remain law-abiding and avoid acts of violence that could tarnish the state’s image.

He emphasized that the gesture reflects Governor Yusuf’s deep passion for youth empowerment and sports development. Farouk also commended the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, describing him as a dedicated and hardworking leader committed to the welfare of young people.

In his remarks, Hon. Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso expressed gratitude to Governor Yusuf for what he described as a milestone achievement that will significantly improve the lives and morale of the players. He also urged Sai Masu Gida supporters to maintain discipline and avoid behaviors that could hinder the club’s progress.

Reacting to the gesture, the General Manager of Kano Pillars FC, Ahmed Musa (MON, OON), expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Governor for his continuous support and goodwill.

He described the donation as “the beginning of greater things to come” for the club and assured that the players are determined to work hard to restore the glory of both the team and the state.

The Super Eagles captain also appealed to the state government to immortalize the club’s legendary captain, Rabiu Ali, in recognition of his exceptional service and contributions to Nigerian football, describing him as one of the finest players ever to grace the NPFL.

Meanwhile, Sai Masu Gida will host Niger Tornadoes of Minna in their Matchday 10 fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League this Saturday at their adopted home ground, the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
