Everton have agreed a deal with Manchester City to bring Jack Grealish back to Goodison Park on a season-long loan, with the England international due to undergo a medical before the transfer deadline.
The 30-year-old previously enjoyed a productive spell with Everton last season, registering two goals and six assists in 20 appearances before a foot injury ended his campaign prematurely.
Grealish had interest from other clubs, including Aston Villa, but his preference to return to Everton helped the Toffees secure another temporary move.
Everton are also strengthening elsewhere, having agreed a deal for former Arsenal player Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Lyon.
The club are reshaping their squad as Iliman Ndiaye prepares to move to Manchester City, while Everton are also pursuing Folarin Balogun and remain active in the final hours of the transfer window.
