Jack Grealish has shared an encouraging update on his recovery from foot surgery, saying rehabilitation is progressing extremely well. The England midfielder, currently on loan at Everton, underwent an operation around 10 weeks ago to treat a stress fracture suffered during a match against his former club Aston Villa in January.
Grealish revealed that medical assessments with his surgeon have been very positive, with the specialist reportedly delighted with how well he is healing. He expressed relief and happiness at the progress, noting how challenging it has been to deal with injury after making 22 appearances this season, including two goals and six assists.
The 30-year-old, who still has a contract with Manchester City, also praised Everton for their strong support during his recovery, highlighting the staff, players, and manager for their care. He admitted that missing matches, including the Merseyside derby, was emotional because of how much he values playing.
Beyond football, Grealish has continued his ambassadorial work with Special Olympics Great Britain, celebrating athletes who completed the London Marathon. Speaking to BBC Sport, he said the achievement was inspiring and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting people with intellectual disabilities, a cause he connects with personally due to his family background.
