Island Stars Football Academy unveils Ex Super Eagles midfielder, Onazi as ambassador

Island Stars Football Academy has introduced the former combative midfielder Ogenyi Onazi as the ambassador of the academy.


Onazi was unveiled at the Island Stars Football Academy office, Brassas Office, Admiralty Way, Lekki.


Island Stars Football Academy is an organization that invests in creating the best and most conducive environment for the development of young players between the ages of 4 and 18 years old.


According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the academy, Victor Akinmoyo, the school operates with the understanding that every child is unique and develops physically and psychologically at different rates.


He also mentioned that the academy works with these four pillars of development – Tactical, Technical, Physical, and Physiological, across the different age category-based levels of the Football Development program.


The Island Stars League (ISL) is a football development program that provides young stars with a thrilling competitive match experience while they learn and develop their football skills.


Regarding Onazi's role as the ambassador of the academy, Akinmoyo stated that the combative midfielder would help the children mold their careers to become good professional footballers.


"Onazi, as an ambassador of the club, will be involved in the academy programs, and the students of the academy will benefit from that. Onazi will also serve as a role model, helping to maintain standards, and he will provide advice to the students, counseling them to benefit from his impeccable professional career.


Onazi is one of the few players about whom we did not hear any scandal during his professional career because he is upright. Therefore, having him as an ambassador is a well-thought-out plan.


Onazi will also assist in exposing our students to international collaboration, serving as a link to some clubs around the world," he said.


Onazi expressed humility at the honor given to him by the academy and promised to do everything in his power to fulfill his duties in the ambassadorial role of the academy.
