Inter Miami Optimistic About Extending Lionel Messi’s Contract Beyond 2024

The 38-year-old Argentine forward's current deal runs until December 2024, but both the club and league officials remain optimistic that he will remain in the United States beyond that.

 

Messi has become the face of both Inter Miami and MLS since his high-profile arrival, and club executives view his presence as vital—not only to the team’s success, but also to the league’s global visibility. Sources close to the player have indicated that he is open to signing a new deal, despite interest from Saudi Arabian clubs that reportedly hope to lure him away.
