Ibom Angels FC edges FC Robo Queens 1-0 in thrilling encounter

Ibom Angels FC concluded their last home game of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over FC Robo Queens.


Captain Abasiofon Uwah scored the decisive goal in the 37th minute, unleashing a powerful shot that left the goalkeeper with no chance.


Goalkeeper Odinakachi Nweke, who returned from the NWFL Championship in Calabar, made a triumphant comeback, earning the Woman of the Match award with her exceptional performance.


Her impressive saves played a crucial role in securing the win for the Orange Ladies, marking their fifth victory of the season.


With this win, Ibom Angels FC now sit in 5th position with 16 points from 13 matches.


The team will wrap up the regular season with an away match against Adamawa Queens FC at Makhwada Stadium, Numan, next Wednesday.


Meanwhile, Adamawa Queens FC played a 2-2 draw against Benue Queens FC in Lafia on Matchday 13.
