Ibom Angels Football Club have strengthened their technical department with the appointment of Emmanuel Ntuk as the club's new Chief Coach.
The Akwa Ibom-based side announced the appointment in a statement on Monday, describing Ntuk as a highly experienced tactician with an impressive coaching résumé spanning clubs and football academies within and outside the state.
Ntuk joins Ibom Angels after holding several coaching positions, including Technical Adviser of the defunct Akwa Starlets FC, Head Coach of Dakkada FC, and Ibom Youth FC.
His coaching career also includes roles as Head Coach and Chief Executive Officer of Greater Tomorrow Academy, as well as coaching stints with Police Machine FC and Emlo FC, Uyo.
The club said Ntuk's wealth of experience, leadership qualities, and technical expertise influenced the decision to bring him into the coaching set-up.
Ibom Angels expressed confidence that the new Chief Coach would play a key role in the club's continued development and competitive aspirations.
"The management, players, and the entire Ibom Angels family warmly welcome Mr. Emmanuel Ntuk and wish him every success in his new assignment," the club stated.
Ntuk will now work alongside former Super Falcons head coach Edwin Okon, who leads the club's technical crew, as Ibom Angels continue preparations for the forthcoming football season.
The appointment reflects Ibom Angels' commitment to strengthening their technical structure as they prepare for the challenges of the new campaign. The club will be hoping Ntuk's experience and expertise contribute to improved performances and sustained success.
