“I will definitely play in the Premier League”- Osimhen declares

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has disclosed his desire to eventually join the English Premier League, but he remains committed to fulfilling his existing plans with Napoli. Despite being a highly sought-after talent, Osimhen chose to extend his contract with Napoli until 2023 following a remarkable season where he contributed significantly to securing the Scudetto and winning the Capocannoniere title.


Osimhen's standout performances attracted interest from top European and Saudi-based clubs, including Chelsea and Arsenal. Despite the persistent talks and offers, he opted to stay with Napoli, solidifying his commitment to the Italian club.


In a recent development, Osimhen has affirmed his ambition to play in the English top-flight. However, he emphasized that, at the moment, he has other career plans that he is actively pursuing. Osimhen mentioned, "I will definitely play in the Premier League. But for now, I have other plans in my career that I’m looking up to. When the time comes, everyone will know," in an interview with SkySports.


Currently, Osimhen is representing the Super Eagles in Ivory Coast for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, showcasing his prowess on the international stage.
